Orthopaedics deals with the development, recognition and treatment of congenital or temporal defects in the shape or function of bones, joints, muscles and tendons. In addition, the successful rehabilitation of patients and the prevention of these defects in form or function are an important part of orthopaedics.

As an orthopaedist, it is my job to maintain and improve the mobility and independence of my patients and to combat limiting pain and discomfort. With the help of a detailed anamnesis, physical examinations and specific functional tests of the locomotor apparatus I make the right diagnosis. For this purpose, I also use advanced examination procedures such as X-rays, computer tomography, magnetic resonance tomography and sonographic examinations (ultrasounds) of the locomotor organs.
